Suncor operations stop at base plant after ‘course of upset’ knocks out energy

CALGARY — Suncor Power Inc. says operations have ceased at its oilsands base plant close to Fort McMurray, Alta., after a brief energy loss Wednesday afternoon.

Firm spokesperson Erin Rees would solely describe the reason for the facility loss as a “course of upset” however says energy was restored as of Wednesday evening.

Rees says she can’t present extra element as a result of it’s a “each day operational problem.”

She says the incident doesn’t impression the protection of the corporate’s workers or contractors.
