How P3Pwriter Works

Before paying for the privacy policy, you can use P3Pwriter to generate the policy to see how easily our product works.

When the privacy policy is complete, you can enter an Email address and password so you can edit your policy whenever you enter the site. If you do not purchase the policy, your account information is deleted after 7 days. If you do not enter an Email Address and password, the records are deleted after 24 hours.

We do not use your Email Address or site information for any purpose other than to send you a confirmation of payment or results of site validation of your P3P privacy policy installation.

After paying for your privacy policy, we will maintain it on file for up to 1 year. After 1 year we will delete your records from our files.

Your P3P privacy policy files and installation instructions can be downloaded at any time by logging into the MyAccount page.

Using P3Pwriter

Help - Each page has help included. When you see a hyperlink, you can hover on it or press it to see help information that is applicable to the policy step.

Company Information - Enter the contact information for your company. This information is used to generate the default portions of the policy and as the base to check your policy installation.

Data Elements - The P3Pwriter system allows you to select the type of data that is collected (such as purchase or web logs) and it automatically fills in the data elements. In most cases this is all that is required, but if you need to edit the information, you have the capability built right in.

Cookie Wizard - After you create your policy, you can check how it will treat cookies. After you determine if your policy will downgrade or deny any cookies, you can edit the policy and recheck it as much as you feel is necessary.

Download - Our interface allows you to download your files directly from our site anytime you need to install them.

Check Installation - Step by step instructions are given showing you how to install the policy elements. At the end of the installation, you can perform a check to see if your installation was satisfactory (in real time). After this check, we will validate your site to let you know if the policy elements are all working together correctly.
